Have you already heard about the legendary kite beaches of Zanzibar? Endless white sand beaches & shallow turquoise blue water.. the vibration of the island that recharges your batteries in the middle of the European winter season… this place attrackts more and more people who fall in love with this unique environment… 😉
In January 2019. the KitExpedition crew visits this amazing place already 6th time.. 30 degrees 24/7, perfect conditions for kitesurfing, fascinating sunset from SUP boards, crazy parites – this is what Zanzibar means for us. Zanzibar island is situated off the East coast of Afrika, belonging to Tanzania. It is lying near the equator, the summer season starts in December and lasts until March. The main attraction of Zanzibar is the old town („Mji Mkomwe”), so called „Stone Town”, which is a World Heritage. The other main attraction of the island is the Rock Restaurant.
Zanzibar is an incredibly beautiful tropical kite heaven, with waist deep turquoise sandy bottom lagoons and conditions that cater for kiters of all levels. On one side we offer beginner lessons for those looking to become part of this social surf lifestyle. On the other side we also cater for those kite addicts already wave riding, free styling or even foil riding, that you can practice during the high tide hours! 😉
This year you can choose from two different accomodation: one is our small and cosy hotel that we visit for many years now, the other is only a few meter away also situated directly on the sandy beach, right on the kite beach, next to the Indian-ocean. The apartments are with double beds, equipped with A/C or fan, many has ocean view. Both has private pools surrounded with sunbeds and hammocks that you can use free of charge.
